Alan and I met in a class we had together during our sophomore year of college at SUNY Purchase. A few classes in, I sat next to him because I thought he was cute! We were working on this program on the computers and Alan kept asking me for help. The same night, we matched on … Tinder…
A few fun dates later, he asked me to be his girlfriend in October of 2017! Here’s a picture of us on our second date in NYC!
Flash way forward.... after getting kicked off of our college campus senior year when COVID hit, I lived with Mariah's family in Syracuse for the first 2 months of quarantine. During this time, we grew closer together while we learned all the TikTok dances and instant coffee recipes. We promised each other that as soon as we could, we would move in together and start our own lives...
After much discussion about where to move in together, we decided on Albany as a halfway point between our families! We moved into our new apartment and started new jobs soon after.
After multiple talks about adopting a furry friend, we decided to go down to our local shelter and we picked the most perfect, babiest, tiniest, little amazing kitty named Acorn. We decided to name her Tuna, and she has remained a key member of the family ever since!
Just another moment for Tuna...
Alan planned a weekend trip to Vermont for the two of us. After dinner, we went for a walk in a pretty, snowy park under the stars where Alan proposed! It was the best night ever :)
