Matt and Mariah’s story begins when they met at Mariah's 25th birthday party in February of 2018. After a night full of dancing and fun, both of them left full of curiosity. Unfortunately, Matt left without Mariah’s contact information, and it would be several months before they crossed paths again. Luckily, several months later a mutual friend invited both of them to a pool party, and Matt made sure not to make the same mistake 😉. Matt asked Mariah on an official first date in June. Of course, she said, “yes”.



NYE: after many months of getting to know each other’s friends, going to big 12 football games, and going on dates in Dallas they become official. Mariah and her maid of honor, Reygan, had a NYE party. After being introduced by both sides of friends to new people as each other’s girlfriend/boyfriend, Mariah asked the age-old question at the end of the night, “what are we??” Which of course led to them becoming official.

In the summer of 2020 Matt and Mariah moved in together to their apartment on Greenville (where they still live together to this day). They went from seeing each other only on the weekends to being with each other 24/7. And I mean literally 24/7, because they both worked from home for the first 2 years. During that time together they enjoyed their lunch breaks in their living room, kickball with new friends, and being able to walk to several locations on Greenville Ave: Trader Joes for groceries, Old Crow for pool and darts, Stans to cheer on OU/ Baylor or Cowboys/Vikings, and Alamo Club for the best espresso martini's.

Over the past couple of years, they have gone on several vacations together: Skiing in Breckenridge & Keystone CO, Park City UT, and Zermatt Switzerland. They’ve biked in DC, Nantucket, and Steamboat Springs. Spent time on Lake Vermillion and Lake of the Woods with the Indihar’s. Hiked and surfed in Hawaii. Placed bets in Vegas. Listened to Music in Nashville and Memphis. Spent time with the Hagan’s in Kansas City. Enjoyed the beaches of LA, San Diego, Riviera Maya Mexico, and Seaside FL.

We’ve been guests at 10 weddings together and are excited lucky # 11 will be ours.



For our next adventure, our honeymoon. We are going to Banff, Canada immediately following the wedding. Fun Fact: This is where Jack and Diane Hagan went on their honeymoon.

The day started with Mariah getting her nails done with one of her bride maids, Rachael. When she arrived home, there was flowers, champagne, and a card from Matt, “get ready- wear something nice. I’ll be back later to pick you up, love you” Mariah knew- she proceeded to drink the bubbly and facetime all her girlfriends with curlers in her hair and asking for advice on what to wear. They ended up at Reunion Tower in Dallas, a 360 rotating observation deck in Dallas. Where they had been 2 years earlier for Valentine’s Day.

Here is where Matt proposed and she said, YES!
