It's Kind of a Funny Story... ﻿Mariah grew up in Alabaster, Alabama and Andrew grew up in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Andrew's mom and step-dad also lived in Alabaster where Andrew would spend his summers and holidays. During his visits to Alabama, Andrew met a lot of the same people Mariah grew up with. Andrew moved to Alabama to attended the University of Alabama in 2014. He soon became friends with Mariah's brother, Chase, due to sharing many mutual friends. Some time in 2018 Chase began telling Mariah, "Nieto thinks you're cute", despite having never met. We officially met on Thanksgiving of 2018, although we did not speak again for many months after that. Fast forward to July of 2019, Andrew went to Siluria Brewing Co. with Chase, his now wife, Rebekah, and Chase and Mariah's parents. That night, Mariah's mom and Rebekah decided to play match-maker and gave Andrew Mariah's number. After that night, we started talking constantly. We would stay up until the early morning talking on the phone, and we quickly planned our first date. Our first date was July 26, 2019 at East West in Birmingham, AL. We fell hard and fast. By March of 2020 we had moved in together, and at the end of October of that same year we relocated to Allentown, PA. On November 4, 2023 Andrew planned a hike and a picnic at Lehigh Gorge State Park. We hiked to Tank Hollow Overlook where after over 4 years together, Andrew proposed. We celebrated right there with drinks, charcuterie, and a beautiful view. Together we have travelled throughout the U.S, Iceland, and to Italy. We love to hike and be outdoors, explore national parks, try new and unique foods, and spoil our dogs, Willow (mini Australian shepherd-poodle) and Pippin (mini schnauzer). We are currently remodeling our first home that was built in 1926. We are looking forward to many more years exploring the world and enjoying this beautiful life we have built together. We cannot wait to celebrate our story with you!

The main street of Bethlehem (also know as the Christmas City) is incredibly walkable and scenic, and well worth the time to explore. The Steel Stacks are worth exploring, and you can usually find live music or events going on. We are lucky enough to be conveniently located to parts of the Appalachian Trail, so hiking is in abundance in the area. Allentown and Easton are neighboring cities, both with their own unique charm. If you have the time, Philadelphia is a little over an hour away. Hershey is about an hour and a half away. Jim Thorpe and New Hope are also adorable towns that are worth a visit.&nbsp;
