Max and I shared mutual friends in high school and slowly started to hang out in group settings during our junior and senior years. Our friends tried setting us up many times over the years and I was always reluctant to the idea. My best friend Hailey would always joke and say Youll date someday, just wait for it. We continued to hang out, and Max asked me to prom our senior year. To which, I excitedly, said yes. Fast forward to college, we both became busy with our new friends and lives at school, and we lost touch for a few months. Randomly, one day I decided to send him a message to catch up and the rest is history! We continued to talk and hang out from that point on. He asked me to be his girlfriend while we were in Duluth to visit Bentleyville which continues to be an annual road trip we take each year:) A little over three years later, what I thought was a normal lunch date, turned into the best surprise proposal! Max proposed at St. Johns by the lake, a spot where we had spent lots of time over the years. And to top it off, he included three of my closest friends who were there for the special moment. And now, here we are preparing to be married and spend the rest of our lives together:)
