On June 19th 2021 while shopping at the 30th St Dollar Store I was minding my own business, this nice looking tall guy was in front of me of course I could not see around him, he looked behind him and said hello I smiled and said hello he did say my smile got his attention.
He asked do I know you and I replied, I don’t think so I said, you may know my kids as we talked he said yes yes I do —He paid for his items and I told him Happy Father’s Day. When I got outside he was by his car, we talked a little more, I asked him what church did he attend, thinking that would run him away, he told me where he was attending and so did I. He said that he had been to my church a few times, I informed him that I had not seen him there how crazy is this.
God can put someone into your path at the right time when you’re not looking or expecting.
He asked me for my number in which he wrote it down due to his phone was cracked. You know he never called..
About a month later I got a message on messenger around mid July, he said I lost your number can I have it again, I asked who are you 😂 I forgot what he looked like. I gave it to him again and he called the wrong number, 🤦🏽‍♀️ finally we got a chance to talk and got to know one another.
Around mid August we went for a drive ( first date) and out to dinner. I thought wow what a nice guy- we became friends. The closeness really came about when Shawn had major surgery and I was there before, during and after the surgery. Praise God everything turned out alright.
Time has moved forward through our ups and downs ins and outs which brings us to today.
About a year ago, Shawn asked me to marry him I said let me get back to you on that. (I had to pray about this) a few days later I said yes.
In my kitchen he got down on one knee and made it official. ❤️
So on June 15, 2024 I will accept his gift and he will accept mine, the gift that God gives to a man and a woman the gift of marriage.
God has placed a love inside of us for each other and together we will become one on June 15th❤️❤️
We are both excited and looking forward to all of you being apart of our story!
