Our Wedding

Our love story began in the most unexpected place—Gateway Charter Elementary School. At the time, Mariana was a Kindergarten teacher finishing up another full day in her classroom. Meanwhile, Markcus had stopped by the school to pick up his mom, who taught 5th grade there. As Mariana walked by, ready to call it a day, Markcus noticed her instantly. She, however, had no idea she had just caught someone’s eye. Markcus mentioned his interest to his mom, and from that moment, he was determined to find a way to reach her. For days, he looked for her around campus, even teaming up with his mom and one of Mariana’s friends to help track her down—just for a chance to connect. Eventually, Markcus handed his number to Mariana’s friend with one request: make sure she gets it. And one day, Mariana finally reached out. That first message was the beginning of something truly beautiful. From that moment on, everything just flowed. What started with a chance encounter at a school turned into laughter, partnership, and a love story we’re blessed to celebrate forever. And now, here we are—ready to say “I do” and continue writing this story for the rest of our lives. ✨💍
