Vail is a very walkable town that also offers free shuttles around the village. If flying into Denver International Airport, there are two ways to get to Vail: renting a car or taking the Epic Mountain Express Shuttle Service. Please see the information listed below.






Travel time to Vail from Denver International Airport - When making travel arrangements, it is extremely important to give yourself enough time. If you are hitting the road from DIA to Vail anytime after 11am on Friday, expect heavy traffic and travel time anywhere from 4-5 hours. We *HIGHLY* recommend making flight arrangements so that you can be in a car or shuttle before noon on Friday, especially being Labor Day Weekend. Trust us...there is nothing worse than being stuck on I-70. With no traffic and traveling by car, expect a beautiful 2.5 hour drive. If traveling by shuttle in no traffic, expect a 3-3.5 hour trip.

Another option is flying into Eagle Vail Airport. If doing so, Uber and Epic Mountain Express Shuttle Services are available.






Travel time to Vail from Eagle County (Vail) Airport – around 40 to 50 minutes each way, depending on traffic.








Distance: 38 miles






If you plan on flying out of Denver on Monday, expect heavy traffic on I-70 from Vail to Denver after 10am. Please give yourself ample travel time!
