A long time ago... in 2013 to be exact Mari and Kuba became friends. They would sit at the same lunch table almost everyday. Mari had a crush on a Kuba for a long time, but Kuba can be oblivious to some things! Friendship blossomed for a year and a half.

Fast forward to senior year and the group is making plans for prom. Mari thinks it's the perfect opportunity to shoot her shot, but little did Mari know that Kuba had plans to ask her to prom. While Mari is out to brunch with Betzy and seeking advice on how to ask Kuba to prom, Kuba is sitting in her room blowing up balloons as part of his plan to do the same.

As Mari gets home she realizes something is afoot. Her bedroom door is closed. As she opens the door she is startled to see Kuba holding roses, a bear, and a sign. Mari is in shock. Kuba had been scheming to ask her to prom. Mari says yes.

A new chapter begins. Although Mari is thrilled to go to prom with Kuba she doesn't know whether it's just as friends or if there’s something more. Over the next few days, Mari and Kuba start to chat more. Kuba decides to shoot his shot and ask Mari on a date and they never looked back.

For the next 8 years their relationship grew and in 2023 Kuba decided it was time. With another surprise, he proposed to Mari during what she thought was a spontaneous trip to Zoolights. Mari was shocked yet again.
