Gunnison is located on the Western Slope of Colorado at 7,723 ft elevation (highest collegiate gym in the world!!! #WesternStateOrDie). If you are not used to high altitude, you will definitely feel it. Make sure to drink plenty of fluids and eat some extra snacks! ﻿Gunnison is about a 5.5 hour drive from Albuquerque, a 4 hour drive from Denver, an hour drive from Montrose or a quick 24 hour drive from Michigan. There is also a very small airport in Gunnison. Although Gunnison, Colorado, is not the easiest place to get to, it is worth the trip! Both of us fell in love with this valley from our first visit. We hope you will enjoy it just as much as we have! A block of rooms has been reserved for guests! Please see below for more information.
