We met in Boone, North Carolina through a mutual friend who pointed out the similarities between us, especially being vegetarians and fans of Star Wars. Over the course of about a year, we spent a lot of time together just doing things together as friends. We bonded over late night shopping trips, podcasts and a constant stream of movies across all genres. Along with binges of Halloween and Star Wars, our numerous shared experiences brought us ever closer together.

Once we officially announced our relationship to friends and families, they were surprised that we were not already dating. Apparently, we were the last to know! After a while, we moved in to a small apartment together just in time for the beginnings of COVID-19. Like many, we suffered our share of bumps and bruises through that time but came out stronger for it all. We remained in Boone for a while longer and then decided to relocate to Greensboro, North Carolina. We love being in Greensboro for all it has to offer but we do miss the mountains and will always cherish the memories we made there.
