Marie & Remy's Love Story

Picture of Marie & Remy's Love Story

As some of you may know, both Remy and Marie attended Bishop Snyder High School in Jacksonville FL. A very tiny school where everyone knows everyone's name.
Even with Remy being a grade above Marie, they both had several classes together, once were Remy was seated right behind Marie. During that year in Chemistry class, Remy made it a daily task to talk with Marie.... asking for paper, a pen, what was the homework, to copy the homework! haha...ect. Unfortunately, Marie was more interested in focusing on the class lesson than entertaining this determined goofball.
Fast forward to 2 years after Marie's graduation from high school. Both of them were living in different cities; Marie was now in Lakeland FL and Remy stayed in Jacksonville both attending college. One random day Remy decided to try reaching out to Marie again hoping for some better luck....

After several conversations, Remy suggested going to Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando for their first date. Marie reluctantly accepted, only because of her fear of scary movies....but the two met up with some of Remy's close friends and went through every haunted house. It's safe to say Marie was "strapped" to Remy's back for "protection."

Towards the end of the night, Marie caught Remy staring at her through the corner of her eye and asked, "What?". Of course, the shy Remy responded with a "oh nothing," and with a traditional sassy response, Marie said, "Don't you go falling in love with me!" and the two laughed at each other, not realizing that in over a decade, the both of them would continue to grow and flourish together.

Throughout those years the two lived together in Lakeland, Tampa, and now Roanoke VA. Traveling miles through different states with their adorable "puppy" dogs. Becoming each others best friends. Graduating college and taking different career paths along the way. Pioneering through a pandemic while dealing with being an essential worker and being furloughed. Surviving the loss of a parent that in the end strengthened their relationship. Purchasing a home in a beautiful city filled with amazing friends they call family. Working for the same company that provides the growth and recognition they've earned. Deciding to take a leap of faith and elope in Seattle.

Our family motto is, "Whatever happens is meant to be."

We may not have always understood in those trying times the reasons "why?" but we always knew that if we continued to lean on each other, we could weather through ALL the highs and lows to eventually see the field of tulips at the end of the road together forever.
