Dear loved ones, 

As I'm sure many of you have seen or heard via social media or from me directly, I'm currently battling some health issues in the midst of wedding planning. In May of 2022, (after booking nearly all our vendors for the wedding) I was hospitalized and diagnosed with a spinal cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leak caused by a bone spur on my spine. Thankfully, I was very quickly diagnosed and I was able to receive my first treatment in October 2022. We are cautiously optimistic that this treatment will allow me to feel well on our wedding day, but there is a chance it will fail before then. I may need repeated treatments or surgery to eventually cure the CSF leak. We have to prepare for me not feeling my best on our wedding day, and therefore have opted for a smaller, more casual event than originally planned. We are going to do everything we can to make our wedding day as "normal" as possible, but we ask that everyone keep in mind that I may still be experiencing symptoms on the big day. There may be a point where I leave the reception temporarily in order to recuperate, or we deviate from the expected itinerary of events. We unfortunately cannot promise a seamless wedding, or even a wildly entertaining wedding celebration, but we will do our very best. We hope it is understood by all that James and I still wanted to celebrate our love and marriage with our loved ones, no matter the circumstances. We underwent lengthy discussions and ultimately decided that any celebration of our marriage is better than no celebration :) James and I are very aware of how many of our guests will be needing to travel to attend our wedding, so we wanted to be as transparent as possible about the uncertainty of some things on our wedding day. We want it to be known that we completely understand not wanting to travel for a wedding that may not be as entertaining as expected. The Hampton Inn includes free parking, wifi, and breakfast. It is an estimated 17 minute drive to the wedding venue and 35 minute drive from the Orlando International Airport (MCO). *There is a 2 night minimum booking being enforced the weekend of our wedding.*

Fairfield also includes free parking, wifi, and breakfast. It is just slightly closer to the wedding venue at an estimated 15 minutes. The drive from Orlando International Airport (MCO) is estimated at 37 minutes.

Home2Suites is available for hotel rooms or suites. They also include free parking, wifi, and breakfast. Home2Suites is also just a 17 minute drive to the wedding venue, as well as a 35 minute drive from Orlando International Airport (MCO).

Siena at Bella Collina is a luxury condominium and resort with a spa and golf course. The condos for rent are in very limited supply, but more may open up as we approach the wedding date. It is an estimated 12 minutes from the wedding venue and about 35 minutes from Orlando International Airport (MCO).

Airbnb or Vrbo are great rental options in and around Clermont, especially if you would like to stay in a group setting. There are several beautiful options available!

Where to Stay

If you're going to be in town for a few days prior to or after our wedding, please consider these recommendations for your enjoyment!

This brewery boasts craft beer, cocktails, artisanal food, and live music! It was named "Best Place to Have Drinks" for the 2022 year, so it's a must visit if you're looking for a brew.

If the theme parks are too much to consider, Disney Springs is a great option to get your Disney fix. Formerly known as Downtown Disney, Disney Springs is known for its upper scale shopping, bars, activities and restaurants. We recommend visiting City Works for a beer and eating some great barbecue at The Polite Pig.

This Florida state park has tons to do, and even has options for trail biking, camping, glamping, cabin rentals, horseback riding, fishing, and swimming. If you're looking for some fresh air, this is the place to find it. *Parking fee is $5 per car*

Lake Louisa State Park

Lakeridge Winery is located about 15 minutes from the Hampton Inn in Clermont. They provide complimentary winery tours and tasting starting at 10am every day of the week. The tour averages around 45 minutes. They do request that if a group of 15 or more will be touring to please make a reservation online.

Legends Golf Clermont

James and I visit the farm every year for their fall festival. It is a gorgeous, sprawling farm with plenty of activities, food, and drinks for the whole family. In January, they hold a strawberry U-Pick that we highly recommend!

Southern Hill Farms

CityWalk is located just before the entrances to the Universal Studios theme parks. CityWalk is free to visit and has an abundance of stores, restaurants, and bars. CityWalk is a 30 minute drive either from Clermont or the Orlando International Airport.

Orlando plays host to Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, and Volcano Bay! The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is definitely our favorite part of the parks to visit and explore. All three parks are only about a 30 minute drive from Clermont or the Orlando International Airport.

Not much explanation is needed here- if you're wanting to visit the most magical place on earth, it's only 30 minutes from Clermont or the Orlando International Airport!
