Our Wedding

Our story begins in Wichita, KS, where we both moved after graduation, coincidentally, on the same weekend in March 2019. We both moved into apartments in downtown Wichita only a couple blocks away from each other. Steven began his career at Textron Aviation as an aerospace engineer and Marina started off her career at the Sedgwick County Forensic Science Center as a forensic scientist. We first met through mutual friends at the Hopping Gnome Brewery anniversary party in May 2019. Having just recently moved to Wichita, we were both looking to build friendships. We immediately connected having many similarities including a love for sports, family, and animals. We went on our first trip to Denver, Colorado in September of 2019 where Steven asked Marina to be his girlfriend. Of course, she said yes (it helped that we were at a music festival with Kygo playing in the background). We got our first puppy Saige in April 2020 and shared a beautiful 4 years with her. We bought our first house in College Hill in April 2022. Since then, we fill our free time with endless house projects (luckily we have had some help from Steven's family). Steven graduated with his MBA in May 2024, and we decided to celebrate by going on a trip abroad to Columbia in South America. This is where Steven asked Marina to marry him, and she said YES. We would love to celebrate with you and hope to see you at the wedding!
