Q + A

Q: When do we need to RSVP?

A: Please let us know as soon as possible.

Q: What is the dress code?

A: Cocktail/semi-formal attire. For ladies, this means cocktail dresses, midi dresses, dressy jumpsuits, etc. For men, we recommend dress pants with blazers, sport coats, or suit jackets.

Q: What lodging options exist?

A: We have room blocks at the Wisp and at Suites at Silver Tree. There are also plenty of other hotels and lodging options in the area. Consider McHenry and Deep Creek Lake as options. For those interested in the room block, please see additional details in the Travel tab.

Q: Are there Ubers or other rideshare apps?

A: Welcome to the countryside. We will have a school bus shuttle from the hotels above to the venue and back at the end of the night but we wouldn't recommend that you rely on other options. Please plan accordingly- the safety of our guests is very important to us.

Q: When will shuttles pick up and drop off?

A: The school bus will pick up at the main entrance of Suites at Silver Tree at 4:15pm and pick up at the main entrance of Wisp at 4:30pm. Return trips to the hotels with room blocks will depart from Chanteclaire at 11pm, 12am, and 1am.

Q: Is there parking on site?

A: Yes. You can also leave your vehicle overnight if needed.

Q: Are kids allowed?

A: While we love all the kids in our lives and your lives, we aren't able to accommodate anyone under 21 at the wedding.

Q : Will the ceremony and reception be held indoors or outdoors?

A: So long as the weather permits (fingers crossed!), the ceremony will be held outside. Cocktail hour will be in both indoor and outdoor spaces. Dinner and dancing will be inside the barn. And while we can guarantee that the wedding will be a barn burner, we do have to move back outside for the bonfire at the end of the night.

Q: Does the venue offer accessibility accommodations?

A: Let us know if you need any extra help getting around the venue! There isn't much walking required, but there are some stairs throughout. The venue has a golf cart to shuttle folks who may need. Let us know!

Q: What food will be served?

A: We're glad you asked! There will be hors d'oeuvres at the cocktail hour. Dinner will include salad, two protein options (steak and duck), potatoes, and a seasonal vegetable. Don't worry about picking a protein - the venue will prepare enough for you to have both. We're nixing the wedding cake and have opted, in true fashion, for cookies and pepperoni rolls.

Q: How can I communicate my dietary restrictions or preferences?

A: Please make note in your RSVP response.
