Marisa and Matthew met in high school through mutual friends and after growing closer over the next couple of years and becoming friends themselves, they started dating the summer of 2013. Marisa and Matthew closed out their high school years and off they went onto the next adventure – college. Matthew decided to attend UC Berkeley where he declared a major in&nbsp;Molecular & Cell Biology &nbsp;while Marisa moved to Los Angeles to study Biology at Loyola Marymount University. During these four years, Marisa and Matthew worked hard to support each other’s aspirations and&nbsp;manage the time apart. It is safe to say that the countless skype study dates, phone calls, road trips and flights to visit one another were all well&nbsp;worth it!&nbsp;For his final college semester, Matthew studied abroad in Singapore at the National University of Singapore, earning his B.A. in the Spring of 2018, and&nbsp;Marisa similarly&nbsp;graduated with her B.S. To celebrate their graduation and reunite with one another, Marisa and Matthew had the fortune of exploring parts of Asia and Australia for the&nbsp;summer of 2018. The two of them explored eight different countries over three months all while balancing the demands of medical school applications. As of today,&nbsp;Marisa and Matthew have been accepted to two schools together:&nbsp;the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and the&nbsp;Creighton&nbsp;University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

We hope that this helped all of you get to know more about&nbsp;us and learn&nbsp;how we got to where we are today! We also invite you to take a look through our photos.
