Our love Story


The MJ squared loved story has been 10 years in the making! Marisa met MJ through her brother Brandon, and it was pretty much love at first sight! Marisa adopted a puppy named Bently in October 2010, and at the time MJ worked at a dog cart in Downtown Disney. He used this to his advantage to spend time with Marisa and make excuses to bring presents for Bently. Ever since then, MJ squared + Bently have been a happy family of three :) We both have amazing families and friends that have loved us and supported our relationship since the beginning. Marisa loves to cook for MJ and MJ enjoys taking Marisa and Bently for drives to get Sonic slushes in his '69 El Camino. Our favorite show that we watch every single day is The Office! Other than that, we usually have very different TV show tastes and spend most of the night trying to find something we both like :) We wish we made more time for travel, but hopefully the future holds more adventures! So far we have visited Washington State, Canada and Hawaii together. Our dream honeymoon would be to go back to Maui!


The Yes Day!


MJ proposed to Marisa on 12/24/19 at the same place he asked her to be his girlfriend back on 12/23/11 which was the Fullerton Christmas lights. He was very nervous, but pulled everything off so beautifully! He arranged to have both of our families secretly show up at our apartment to decorate and celebrate with us once we got home. Everything was perfect and it was the most romantic thing he has ever done!


The Best Day!


We knew we didn't want to wait very long to be married (hello, 9 official years already!) and then COVID happened! We finally chose to just go for it anyways and get married at our dream venue (Marisa had the venue book-marked on her phone for years!). It has been a crazy 8 months of planning, but we are so excited to celebrate with our family and friends! Thank you for being a part of our forever love story!
