Our story begins on July 16th, 2021. We met on a chilly, stormy day, which we both realized early on, would be a day that changed our lives forever. We met at the climbing gym and started our bond over sharing the love for climbing. I asked for Josh's number so that we could climb together again and he asked if I would go to dinner with him one night. In my true fashion, however, I was about to embark on a 3 week vacation to the mountains. So instead, he asked if my best friend, Celia, and I would go to dinner right then that night. We both said yes and from then on, Josh and I never stopped talking. I realized I was in trouble the very next day when for some reason, I just couldn't stop texting him. On my vacation, I couldn't wait for when I had signal to continue talking with him throughout my trip. I returned and we were finally able to have a proper first date, where he took me to Stoney Creek for a picnic by the lake. On August 13th, my birthday, he told me that one day he would marry me. And later that night, he asked me to be his girlfriend. Maybe a little backwards, but finally, something never felt more right. It took me a couple more weeks to realize it, but by the time September rolled around, I realized I would, indeed, marry him some day. It took me 31 years of searching to find him, but in the blink of an eye, things just seemed to fall right into place. Since, we have shared our love for travel and the outdoors. We continue to challenge each other climbing together. I made him suffer through 3 weeks while I was in Africa and I love that he supports me and my crazy dreams. He proposed in Italy on September 19, 2022, at the top of a mountain, which was more then I could've every dreamed of. He's the one that I prayed for, he's the one that my heart was missing. He is truly my best friend and I thank God for him every day!
