We had the most amazing proposal. Not only did Esteban plan the proposal in my favorite city, New York City, but he somehow managed to make sure that some of our most important people were there to make it special.

I honestly had no idea that it was happening. I thought we were taking a trip just the two of us, for my birthday. I had no idea he had talked to my parents months before, and right in front of my face practically haha. I had no idea that he and Kate and my dad had spent time picking out rings to find the perfect one. I really had no idea that our friends and family were keeping a massive secret from me for months! How some of you were able to do that is a complete shock, but I am so grateful that you did! Especially my grandma's, who admittedly say they almost let it slip a few times haha.

Esteban coordinated the whole thing so that my mom, and sisters, Kate and Luisa, as well as Esteban's sister and brother- in-law, Ivy and Joe, and Anna and Mo were there to celebrate with us. All of you, thank you for spending the money and taking the time from work to be there!

For everyone that was not able to make it, having you all on Facetime to witness the whole thing was incredible! I think we had about 20+ people on Facetime seeing the whole thing first hand and although it was through the screen, we could feel all of you there with us.

My sister Kate spent time reaching out to some of our family and friends leading up to the proposal to create a countdown video. The video was shown to me the day after the proposal and it was so special to hear the support we have from our loved ones for our marriage. Thank you!

Esteban also created his own video leading up to the proposal, that I was also shown the day after he proposed. To see the anticipation and to hear his words about getting ready to ask the big question was so fun to watch; it is one of my favorite videos.
