Trent and Marisa met a very long time ago when Marisa was recovering from an oral operation and Trent's loving cousin, Katherine, brought him along with her to drop off recovery snacks. Marisa saw something in that shy young man and decided to invite him to her high school graduation party many years later. That is where Trent's interest sparked as he decided to text her a couple weeks later, congratulating her on graduating.

Marisa and Trent spent their first year together separated by 170 miles and their second year working through the pandemic and the struggles it brought.
