Things to Do

Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens

1777 E Broad St, Columbus, OH 43203, USA
(614) 715-8000

This is Marisa's favorite place in Columbus, the Chihuly glass and flourishing botanical gardens are incredible. The art exhibition Blooms & Butterflies should be in full swing when you're here. It's a must-see!

Strand Theatre

What can we say? We love our local movie theatre, and tickets are way less expensive than anywhere else.

Stratford Ecological Center

Noah spent a summer leading an intern program at Stratford and afterward urged Marisa to visit. She did and now volunteers there regularly! The nature paths are beautiful; you can check out working gardens, farm animals, and a pond, and you can get organic, sustainably sourced meat, honey, maple syrup, and more at the farm store. This is an especially great option to check out if you're bringing your kids!

Columbus Zoo and Aquarium

We've been to zoos and aquariums all over the world, and there's just something special about the Columbus Zoo & Aquarium. Make sure to check their construction status before you visit - as of November '24, they were working

on some significant remodeling.

Mingo Park

500 E Lincoln Ave, Delaware, OH 43015, USA
(740) 203-1450

This is our favorite local park. We've been coming here since we were little, playing soccer on the fields, swimming, walking or biking the loop, playing in the skate park, and, during COVID, taking our meals out to the parking area overlooking the river and relaxing. If you're lucky, you can spot all kinds of wildlife by the water!
