It all began in 2014, with a Red Solo cup in hand and the faint smell of beer lingering on the basement walls at York College—how romantic! It was freshman year when Jason and Marissa first met. However, life took a turn when Marissa transferred to West Chester University after her first semester to be closer to family while navigating the loss of her mother. Through it all, Jason remained a steadfast source of support, and their connection never wavered.

In the summer of 2018, the "Delco Duo" reunited. By fall, their friendship blossomed into something more, marking the start of their relationship.

As they moved into post-college life, Jason and Marissa focused on building their careers while carving out time for dates and travel. For their first anniversary, they ventured to Buffalo, NY, for the Bills vs. Eagles game, and for their fifth, they visited Baltimore, MD, to tour the Guinness Brewery—both trips filled with memories they’ll treasure forever.

When the pandemic hit, they took the leap to move in together. They didn’t do it alone—enter Tucker, their lovable Cocker Spaniel/King Charles Cavalier mix, who quickly became the heart of their little family. The trio settled into a cozy apartment off West Chester Pike, ready for whatever life would bring next.

Fast forward to August 2023: Marissa got a call from her dad, asking for “family pictures like Mom used to do yearly.” Little did Marissa know, Jason had secretly orchestrated the entire plan to express his love in front of her closest family. With a photographer in place, he even captured the moment he proposed—a magical day they’ll never forget.

Over the past seven years, Jason and Marissa have grown immensely—both as individuals and as a couple. In early 2024, they celebrated their biggest accomplishment yet: buying their first home together.

Now, they’re ready to take the next step and tie the knot, surrounded by the best family and friends anyone could ask for!
