Some of you may or may not know that Ryan and I (Marissa) met at the end of February 2021 on a dating app called Bumble. Ryan had a picture of an inflatable monkey on his page which caught my interest. So I clearly swiped right!

On our first date we met in Farmingdale at a restaurant called CaraCara. We enjoyed a lovely meal but since the restaurants were still under COVID protocols we had to leave. We ended up standing in the parking lot talking for hours.

Ryan grew up in Nassau County, where I grew up in Suffolk County.

I always joked I needed to have my passport whenever I was going to see Ryan. Little did I know, in February 2023 I would move to Oceanside and move in with Ryan. I still joke I need my passport.. Which reminds me, it’s expiring 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ryan and I have been pretty inseparable since we started dating. Whenever we had a chance we would hang out. We’ve been on quite a few adventures over the last few years. Ryan and I have explored Long Island, upstate New York and even down to South Carolina. Our adventures list is miles long. I can’t wait to visit all the places on the list.

Throughout our relationship we have been through it all. Happiness, laughter, hardships, growth, loss, gain and most of all love. Our relationship is strong because of these things and will only continue to grow.

In July 2024, Ryan and I were planning a trip to the Poconos with his brothers and friends. I had mentioned I really wanted to go to Bushkill Falls to see the waterfalls. I had been there back in 2011 with my parents but wanted to check it out again.

Ryan proposed in front of a beautiful waterfall on July 19, 2024 at Bushkill Falls, PA.

I was completely thrown off guard and was completely shocked! The day was absolutely beautiful.
