Q + A

DID THE WEDDING DATE CHANGE?!?!

Yes! Yes it did. As now many of you have received your invitation, we decided to move up the wedding date to accommodate Baby Hernandez, due September 19, 2022 (much to close to the original date). We hope that everyone can still be there to celebrate our marriage and our new little family. https://registered.at/Marissaandelvis

What is the dress code?

Semi-formal is appropriate. Dressy casual and ready to have fun!

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

Both ceremony and reception with be held at the Sawmill Lake Club. The ceremony will be outside and the reception inside.

What happens after the ceremony?

While the wedding party and immediate family take pictures, all other guests will be welcomed into the Sawmill Lake Club where they can partake in bruschetta and beverages.

What if I can’t make it?

You will be missed! Please RSVP “no” through our wedding website.

How do I get to the venue?

From HWY 6, take Sienna Parkway all the way to Mount Logan and the venue will be on your left.

When should I arrive?

We will begin the ceremony at 4:30pm. Please allow time to get to the venue, park and settle in before the beginning of the ceremony. Short Answer… Early!

Where should I park? Free parking?

There is parking provided in front of Sawmill that should be able to accommodate everyone.

Are kids welcome?

Yes! Please RSVP your family including children for an accurate guest count.

Do you have a hotel room block for guests?

We will be gauging interest in hotel rooms. If you are interested, see further details in the travel tab and contact Marissa or Elvis to let us know you’re interested.

May 31st!!! We would love to know as soon as possible

Are the ceremony and reception wheelchair accessible?

Yes, contact Marissa and/or Elvis if specific accommodations are needed.

Will food and beverages be served at the reception?

Yes! Guests may partake in bruschetta immediately after the ceremony. Dinner will be served after bride and groom’s entrance. There will be an open bar with a limited drink menu (not a full bar). If you plan on drinking at the wedding, please plan on using Lyft or Uber or planning safe travel back to your destination for the night. We want to have fun (hence, the open bar), but we want everyone to be safe. The bartenders and caterers reserve the right to refuse service and cut off guests.

Will there be food to accommodate dietary restrictions?

Please include in your RSVP and contact Marissa or Elvis about any dietary restrictions (allergies, vegan, vegetarian, etc.). We will work with the caterers to ensure options for you.

Where are you registered?

We are registered with Bed Bath and Beyond and Bass Pro. We also have two Cash Funds: one, for Home Furnishings and the other, for our Honeymoon. All registries and Cash Funds are linked through this wedding website.

Will transportation be provided?

No, please plan accordingly especially if you plan on drinking.

May I take a centerpiece?

No, please do not take any part of the center pieces. We have worked hard to curate elegant and sustainable wedding centerpieces through thrifting and recycled wood flowers. We would like to keep many pieces for use in our home.

Can I take photos and post on social media?

For the ceremony, NO. We have hired a wonderful photographer to photograph these moments for us. During the reception, HECK YES! Please take photos! You can also use our hashtag or tag us in the photos. #HappilyHernandez

I have more questions. Who should I contact?

Please contact Marissa or Elvis with any further questions!

Can I bring my own alcohol?

If you are interested in helping with the cost of alcohol, please let us know! Otherwise it is not necessary. If you do happen to bring alcohol, you MUST give it to the bartender. For liability reasons, all alcohol must go through the bartender. NOT OPTIONAL!
