Marissa & Jake first met while attending Holy Cross Catholic School in Webster, Minnesota. It was at Holy Cross where Marissa & Jake would spark a puppy dog romance and become each others first girlfriend/boyfriend. This middle school romance did not last forever as they would go their separate ways in high school.

Marissa & Jake eventually reignited their connection years later when Marissa & Jake started talking after catching up in the same Holy Cross hallway where it all began years earlier. Marissa & Jake would continue to see each other and talk as they could; however Marissa was studying abroad in Italy while Jake was finishing his undergrad in Winona, Minnesota.

Marissa & Jake would officially start dating again in July of 2019. Marissa was working full-time for Enterprise-Rent-A-Car and Jake had just graduated from Winona State University and got a job offer in Winnebago, Minnesota to become their new City Administrator. Marissa would purchase her first home in Burnsville, Minnesota in 2020. A few years later Jake had accepted an opening for the City of Elko New Market and would move in with Marissa in 2022.


When celebrating the New Year of 2023 down in Iowa with Marissa's relatives - Jake finally decided to pop the question and Marissa said YES! We are so excited to celebrate starting this new adventure of our lives together with all you and look forward to the big day!
