THE TRUE STORY:

In August of 2019, (not July) Paul came into HR to complete new hire paperwork. My friend Gabby, who worked there, messaged me that a new cute coach was in her office and I should ask him to coach the current men's team I was coaching. Oh she also called dibs... Well fast forward and I met with him to try to convince him to coach, but I was not very convincing. He did mention how he was new in the area and did not know anyone. So the friendly person I am, I invited him to join my friends and I to Hops in Humboldt. He said no, so I went on my way. A few hours later he texted me and said he would join, and I said ok! We went and I was the designated driver for my friends but had plans later in the day, and told them I was leaving by a certain time, and if they did not want to leave we agreed they would get the tram. Well, the time came around and they wanted to get the tram, I did not ditch them. We went and stopped for ice cream, since I felt bad Paul came to a beer festival when he doesn't even drink. While we were there he mentioned he needed to find a place to live, and I said, if worse comes to worst, I had an extra room until he found a spot. I did not invite him to live with me. After ice cream we went on our way, and a week later, he invited me on a dinner date. Now we have been through power outages, giant earthquakes, and pandemics together. I couldn't have asked for a better adventure partner.

For our wedding, we decided to have funds rather than gifts. This has been a very big year for us and we appreciate everyone's support. Thank you so much and we hope to see you there!
