Wade and Marissa met in the most romantic place in Victoria, Juvenile Detention! Both were working as supervision officers and caught each other's eye during those long 12+ hour shifts. Wade made their first date very special; flowers, opening every door, and dinner at the top of One O'Connor Plaza, The Sendera.

The proposal took place at our hotel room at the Westin Hotel in downtown Houston, across from Minute Maid Park, prior to the Ed Sheeran concert. I wanted to ask her to marry me throughout the day, but could not find the right time to do so. When I found the right time I got down on a knee and asked Marissa, "So, Wanna get married?" In her shock she asked if I was serious, I said yes. She was so excited that she rushed to hug me before I could stand. In the process of trying to celebrate I rolled back over my knee. Luckily I'm not as accident prone as she is, and nothing was permanently injured! It was a very happy moment for both of us. (And she definitely ugly cried...)
