Where it all started
Marissa and James both thought they would never find their other half. Marissa had almost given up completely until she got Facebook dating. After swiping left (saying no) to many profiles on there, she came across James. Marissa swiped right (saying yes) and it was a match! The two talked for hours about what horror movies they enjoyed, music likes and dislikes and what they each wanted in a partner. After only a few days talking, texting and FaceTiming, Marissa asked James if he wanted to go see a new horror movie that came out. James said “yeah, let’s do it!” That night the two had dinner at The Yard House and saw their horror movie where James landed the first kiss on Marissa. After the movies and dinner they went back to Marissa’s house where James met Stevie, Marissa’s little girl. From that day forward, there was no going back. History was in the making. Now, two years later they are engaged and about to begin their lives together.
Stevie
Stevie is the type of little girl who is very shy and won’t warm up to people easily. The first time James came over, Stevie was very uneasy at first but seconds later she was attached to James. This never happens, it usually takes her a few times to see someone to get her comfortable with someone, especially a man. Now Stevie is James’ shadow as he calls her.
The proposal
November 27, 2024 at their favorite restaurant Oceanos in Fair Lawn.
James always said to Marissa “you will know I’m going to propose when I get my haircut.” That night James asked Marissa if they wanted to get dinner, he had not gotten a hair cut so naturally, Marissa didn’t think she was getting proposed to. But, little did Marissa know James had this planned all along. When their desert came out before beginning to eat James asked Marissa “where do you see yourself in 50 years?” Marissa looked at James and said “well, I hope married to you!” Then James said “so I guess you wouldn’t mind marrying me then” and he pulled out Marissa’s dream ring
