Q + A

What is the new venue?

The new venue is Grace located at 15 Chestnut St, Portland, ME 04101. Grace is a fully renovated church that is recognized on the National Registry of Historic Places. We're so excited to share this beautiful space with you all!

Do we need to update our RSVP?

If you have already RSVP'd, there is no need to update it. If you need to make any changes, please contact either of us by July 1st.

How do we get to the venue? What is the parking situation?

Grace is located in the Old Port: 15 Chestnut St. There is no parking on site, so please plan to carpool, uber, walk, if possible. If you are driving, you may use street parking or several garages nearby— Top of Old Port Parking is the closest. The lot directly next to the building is a private lot for residents, and your car WILL be towed if you park there!!

Is there a shuttle provided?

There is a shuttle service both ways from The Westin Portland Harborview to Grace. There will be two shuttles to depart to The Westin at 4:30pm and 4:45pm, and multiple shuttles departing Grace between 11pm and midnight.

How far is the new venue from the original one?

Fortunately, the new venue is less than a mile from the old one. No need to adjust any lodging accommodations.

What is the dress code/what should I wear?

We ask that guests wear cocktail/formal attire.

Can my children attend?

This is an adult only event. We're very fortunate to have so many friends and family that we want to share this day with, but unfortunately the venue space is limited. Please refer to the guests listed on your invitation's envelope and RSVP card.

Can I bring a plus one?

No, unfortunately space is limited. Please refer to your invitation to see who is invited.

Where should I stay?

Any hotel or airbnb in the "old port" is the closest, but there are plenty of great options in the east or west end. It is easy to get an uber/taxi if you are staying a ways outside the city.

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

The ceremony will begin promptly at 5 PM, so please arrive a bit earlier to ensure you're seated and settled in time.

Will the ceremony be unplugged?

Yes, we kindly request that guests refrain from using electronic devices during the ceremony. Let's cherish this moment together, fully present and engaged. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Is the venue outdoors?

Both the ceremony and reception will be held entirely indoors at the new venue.

What if I have food allergies or dietary restrictions?

When you RSVP, please mention any food allergies or dietary restrictions. Although dinner will be served buffet style, informing us ahead of time allows the chef to accommodate your needs.

Will there be an open bar?

Yes! Don't forget to bring your ID and some cash for tips if you feel generous. Certain premium spirits will incur a cash upcharge. Enjoy, and please drink responsibly!

Will you be changing your last name(s)?

We've opted to keep our current last names. If you're thinking of sending a check, we're grateful for your generosity, and wanted to share this with you.
