The Venue

The East Chop Beach Club is located right in Oak Bluffs Center. It is near the ferry, hotels and rentals, and your favorite restaurants and shops. You can even see the ferry from the venue!

The Ferry

There are several different ferries that will take you to the island. If you plan to bring a car, the only option is the Steamship Authority (see below for more details). If you do not plan to bring a car, there are lots of other ferries to choose from. View each website and find what works best for you based on departure locations, destinations, pricing, parking, and convenience! Also, if you cannot stay on the island overnight, find schedules in the websites below for the latest ferry times. There is also a water taxi service option as well. Let us know if you have any questions!

If you plan to bring a car:   Reserve your spot on the Steamship Authority in advance! Spots are limited once it gets closer to summer. For reference; we usually book our car on the ferry for the Summer in the Winter!  If you do not plan to bring a car: You will need to park at one of the lots in Falmouth. There is a shuttle that will take you to the ferry terminal. The ferry goes to either Vineyard Haven or Oak Bluffs. Find a time in the schedule that works best for you and where you are staying. There are plenty of Ubers, taxi’s, and buses that can bring you to where you need to go.

The Steamship Authority 

The Island Queen is a small ferry out of Falmouth and only goes to Oak Bluffs. There is convenient parking one block away from the ferry terminal.

This is the only ferry to Edgartown. The other ferries go to either Vineyard Haven or Oak Bluffs.

Sea Streak

This is a water taxi that runs at any time. This is a good option for people that cannot stay on the island after the wedding. The latest ferry that runs is the steamship authority at 9:30 pm out of Vineyard Haven. With this ferry option, a group of people could book this boat if you couldn’t stay on the island but wanted to leave later than 9:30 pm. The company suggests that people call as it gets closer to the date. View the website for more details!

Hotels in Oak Bluffs:

The Summer Camp Hotel is the biggest and closest and hotel to the venue. It is right across from Nancy’s- walking distance to everywhere in downtown Oak Bluffs! Try to book in advance. They have suites for families as well! Currently, it is too early to do online booking, however, you can book by calling them directly!

The Dockside Inn is the second closest hotel to the venue. It is also right in Oak Bluffs center, walking distance to everywhere! Limited rooms, so try to book in advance!

The Island Inn is a great option for groups as it has suites/apartments! It’s an awesome spot about a mile from downtown Oak Bluffs, across from State Beach. It has a pool and is is right next to a fun outdoor restaurant called Noman’s!

This is a great option for groups of people because it is a community of apartments with a pool and walking distance to downtown Edgartown!

The East Chop Beach Club

The wedding will be at The East Chop Beach Club in Oak Bluffs. This is a private beach club located right on a beautiful beach with sunset views. The ceremony will take place right on the beach and pier. The reception will take place inside the ballroom that opens up to the beautiful deck with views of the ocean.    View the different tabs to find information on the ferry, places to stay, and things to do!
