Our Story
Ashton and Marissa met at a bar named Quarters in Utah during Halloween 2022 and immediately bonded over their shared goals and hobbies. In November they officially started dating and have been inseparable ever since. They have traveled across the states and shared many adventures together; such as rock climbing, skiing, and camping. Together they hiked 25 miles up the tallest mountain in Utah in one day as it had been a goal of Marissa's to do and Ashton happily obliged. When they are not busy with their outdoor pastimes, they love to work on their more creative hobbies such as painting, making wine, or experimenting in the kitchen. On July 25th 2025, Ashton proposed to Marissa at Bear Lake with the help of their friends to make the special moment happen. They will be getting married in Marissa's home state, New York, where they will celebrate with their friends, family, and loved ones.

Megan - Maid of Honor
Megan is Marissa’s sister and one of her best friends. They have been there for each other through thick and thin and created so many amazing memories through traveling to different states and countries together. Megan has been one of Marissa’s greatest supports and through some loving, but sisterly bullying, helped her be the strong and caring person she is today.
Danielle - Bridesmaid
Danielle is Marissa’s older cousin, they have grown up together creating memories traveling together to Ireland, swimming and water skiing at the lake, and preforming Christmas skits for the family. In 2020 Marissa was her bridesmaid and now Danielle gets to do the same!
Karli - Bridesmaid
Karli is Marissa’s cousin and one of her closest friends growing up. They have shared many wonderful memories of camping, water skiing, and family Christmas parties. Marissa was in Karlis bridal party and now the roles are reversed!
Delanie - Bridesmaid
Delanie and Marissa met during their time in Wilderness together and their friendship has grown closer ever since. She is one of Marissa’s best friends who is creative, supportive, and encouraging. Her and Marissa have bonded through their shared interests with art and advocates of mental health.
Jackie - Bridesmaid
Jackie and Marissa met while working together and grew closer as they studied together to become fully licensed therapists. They have bonded over skiing, climbing, and their creative hobbies. Jackie has become one of Marissa’s closest friends and colleagues who are working together to have their own private practices!
Tammy - Mother of the Bride
Tammy is Marissa’s mother and such a wonderful support in her life. Tammy has encouraged Marissa to travel, going on adventures and to become the person she is today. She is a strong and supportive mother who has always advocated for her daughters. She has been there for Marissa through the tough times and the amazing memories and now gets to be there on Marissa’s special day!
Al - Father of the Bride
Al is Marissa’s father and a huge support in her life. He helped her move across the country and has been encouraging her to continue to travel and make new adventures. He has always pushed her to be her best self and to strive to work hard for the things she wants. Now their next adventure together will be him walking her down the aisle!
Thea - Junior Bridesmaid
Thea is Marissa's second cousin who will be a junior bridesmaid. She is an amazing young woman, who is a fun and warm presence to be around. Marissa is excited to have her in the wedding party. Just as Marissa was a junior bridesmaid at her parents wedding, she wanted the tradition to carry on!
Mette - Junior Bridesmaid
Mette is Marissa's second cousin who will be a junior bridesmaid. Mette is fun and energetic, bringing love and laughter to the bridal party. Marissa was a junior bridesmaid in her parents wedding and is happy to carry on the tradition!

Can I bring my kid/s?
This is an adult only event, with the bridal party being an exception. The bride and groom love kids but want to give parents the night off to celebrate together!
What is the closest airport if I'm coming from out of town?
Albany International Airport is about an hour and a half away from the venue which is the closest airport. You can rent a car from there and visit some scenic views on the way to the venue!
How far out should I buy my plane ticket?
If you are traveling from out of town and need to fly in, the best time to get a ticket is usually about 3 months out. That is usually when rates are the lowest.
Should I get an Airbnb or a hotel?
If you want to have a group get in together for an Airbnb Oneonta and Hartwick have lots of options, but should be reserved ASAP due to the baseball hall of fame blocking them out in June. If you would like to have a hotel room blocked out for you instead, reach out to Marissa and she can do that for you!
