Q + A

Where is the wedding?

The wedding will be held on the beach in the beautiful 30A Florida area. We have rented a beautiful home in Miramar Beach, FL. Everyone invited to the wedding will have a place to stay inside the home and we are so excited to have us all in the same place for this event!

Directions will follow.

When do I need to submit my RSVP?

The deadline for RSVPs is February 15, 2024. You were invited to this wedding because you are very important to us and in our lives. We have secured the venue specifically for the number of people we invited and each one of you already has a room/bed in the home (that’s been assigned to you).

You can RSVP whenever you like, our response page is already up and running on this website.

Formal invitations will be sent out in the Fall of 2024 in case anyone wants to plan to add on their own beach vacation to our already amazing week!

Please RSVP by the deadline.

Where do I RSVP?

To RSVP, simply click the link above and go to that section on this website.

Please RSVP separately for everyone in your party who is listed on the back of your Guest Information Card.

The system will ask you which events you will be attending. Please plan to be at all of them.

You will also be asked your food choices for the Reception, please respond to that so we know what to have the chef prepare for you.

You are also welcome to personally reach out to either of us and let us know your decision and we can enter it for you.

May I bring a Date or Plus 1?

We are keeping our wedding intimate to ensure we spend time with those closest to us.

Please refrain from bringing a plus one and refer to the names listed on your envelope of your formal invitation OR on the back of the Guest Information card.

Not only do we not have the room in the house but the beach wedding only allows for the number of people we have invited. We cannot exceed this number.

Thank you for understanding.

When should I arrive at the venue for the week?

We have planned for you to join us on May 2-6, 2024 in a beautiful home in Miramar Beach. Wedding week will be filled with fun family activities and because of that, we would love it if you plan to attend the entire week.

What Should I Wear?

Suggested beach outfits for men include a button-down shirt, slacks or chinos. A suit jacket is not required.

Suggested beach outfits for women include flowy maxi and midi dresses, but jumpsuits and dressy separates are also appropriate choices.

Please avoid wearing white as that is reserved for the bride. Please also avoid wearing black as the bride and groom would like a colorful palette for pictures.

What is expected of me at the wedding?

We have scheduled a pretty full week of activities designed to help us create memories and bond together as a family. This part of the wedding is very important to the bride and groom which is why they have designed a family vacation with a wedding in the middle. Thus, you will have some free time on your own but not a ton. Please adhere to your personal itinerary as you plan.

Each of you will receive a personal itinerary for you to follow for the week. If you are in the wedding party, you will have a few more responsibilities related to your role. Everyone else will have responsibilities of you own as well as events we expect you to attend.

We cannot wait to enjoy the week’s festivities with you!

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

We are having an "unplugged" ceremony. This means we are asking that all phones be put away and turned to silent/airplane mode during the ceremony. We have hired a professional to capture some of the most important moments of our lives and we'd hate to have a well-meaning person's phone blocking that moment for our photographer to capture.

After the ceremony, please feel free to take as many photos as you want! There will even be instructions on your table about where you can upload those images to a shared drive for all to enjoy! And in case you are concerned, we promise to share the professional images as soon as we receive them!

WILL I HAVE TO TRAVEL FROM CEREMONY TO RECEPTION?

Nope, the ceremony will take place on the beach directly in front of the beach house. We will provide golf carts to transport wedding guests to the boardwalk that leads to the beach.

Our reception will follow inside the house and around the pool area immediately after the ceremony!

WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE?

Our venue is directly on the beach so expect it to be sunny and breezy. May in Florida is typically warm but not too hot. It can also get chilly in the evening.

Plan to bring sunscreen for the sunny outings/beach/pool activities. We do not want anyone getting sunburned.

Plan to bring a light long-sleeved shirt/jacket for late evening beach activities.

WHERE ARE YOU REGISTERED?

The bride has mentioned this to some but we wanted to ensure it was put here as well.

WE DO NOT WANT WEDDING GIFTS!!

WHAT WE DO WANT IS FAMILY PORTRAITS!!

We will be hiring a photographer to come in and take pictures of each of your families. The last pictures the bride has on her wall of you are from several years ago.

The bride wishes to build a wedding wall in her home and will need your help to do so!

Please come prepared for family pictures. Please choose a color (or colors) from the wedding colors (in your invitation or on this Pinterest Board: https://pin.it/1bpJ3Cb ) and plan to match your immediate family members so portraits can be taken of you and your family.

We will also be taking a large group photo. Thank you in advance for making this happen!!

Will meals be served?

Meals that are not listed in the itinerary will consist of continental breakfasts and some sandwich options for lunches. You are free to go out to some of the local restaurants during your own free time. If you decide to do so, please make sure you are back at the house in time for the scheduled events. If you are not sure, please check your personal itinerary.

Will Alcohol be Served?

We have decided that we will not be providing cocktails during our family-friendly wedding since we do not contribute to the delinquency of our children or grandchildren. 😂

Those who are of legal drinking age are welcome to bring adult beverages if they choose to do so.

I STILL HAVE QUESTIONS, HOW CAN I CONTACT YOU?

Please reach out to either the Bride or the Groom with any additional questions you may have. We are very excited that you are joining us!
