Our Wedding

It began in Freshman year, Xavier and Marissa met during band rehearsals for the Allstate Competition and quickly became friends. During that bus ride to their competition Xavier happened to look over and see a heart next to his name. That's when he knew this girl had some kind of feelings for him. If it wasn't obvious she very much liked him. At the moment a bond formed so strong that nothing could break it, not even time. Fast forward to that summer. During our break before band camp started Xavier and his family were visiting cousins who happened to live just a block away from Marissa. Xavier had snuck away from where he his family was just so they could hang out even if just for a little. He ended up getting in trouble, costing him his phone for the rest of the summer. We stayed prominent in each other's lives and knew we could always depend on each other. HUGE fast forward, to the year of 2022! At this time both Xavier and Marissa had ended up back at their parents' houses. Feeling the need for a break they took a car ride and just talked for hours. During the drive Marissa had made a passing joke to move in together and get out of their parents houses. Xavier immediately jumped on the idea! in his excitement he ended up finding their current home not even a week later. Then just like that in one short month they became roommates. They effortlessly navigated their new lives as roommates falling into a new routine easily. They spent most days watching movies, playing games or hanging with friends. As time passed, feelings started to come back in full force. Xavier ended up making the first move by putting his arm around her shoulder during a movie. However, they didn't officially get together until on old friend made them finally talk about it by trapping them in the shed together. Though not the best method it worked! They talked about The fear they had of ruining their friendship and how much they cared about each other. In the end they decided to give each other the chance they deserved and have yet to regret their decision.

The Story so far...

THE ENGAGEMENT....Their engagement happened Christmas Eve of 2023. They spent the day together getting everything prepped for Christmas the next day. All day Xavier had been distant, short, and nervous. Unknowingly to Marissa he was going to propose. She thought he was just in a sour mood. After all the prep was done Xavier had jumped on to a game with Carter and Marissa went to watch TV. Xavier had asked Marissa to go to the room to help with the computer. When she left towards the bedroom he went to grab the ring out of the Christmas tree where it was hidden. After they were done they went to the living room to finish the rest of Marissa’s show. When they left the room, Xavier had left the door open. Seeing the open door, Marissa had asked Xavier to close it. Xavier unwillingly turned around to close the door thinking she would keep going without him. As he closed the door and turned around, relief flooded him as he noticed that she was still there at the end of the hall. This made him feel like it was a sign from god, A sign he was meant to propose on this night. With an internal sigh he began walking down the hall, as he approached her she smiled at him and turned to continue her way the living room. As Xavier was follow behind he attempted to take the ring out from his pocket. As he struggled with the ring box, he saw Marissa begin to get further and further away. At what he felt like was last possible second, he was finally able to free the ring from his pocket. He cleared his throat to get Marissa’s attention before she could sit down on the couch. As she began to turn around he got down on one knee, opened the box and asked her, "Will you Marry me?". Marissa was in disbelief and thought he was joking. To her relief he wasn't! She had excitingly agreed and then proceeded to tackle Xavier in a hug and kissed him. Finally letting go of each other with happy tears staining their faces, Marissa finally asked to see the ring. Xavier pulled the box to her and THE RING WAS GONE!!! Marissa had accidentally tackled Xavier so hard in her excitement the ring went flying somewhere behind them. Immediate panic set in as Xavier promised "There was just a ring in there!". They quickly found the ring and laughed. They told their families and everyone was excited and told them "it's about time!"
