You'll be my honeysuckle I'll be your honey bee

We both took to the dark paths of the dating world - dating apps...Bumble to be exact. It wasn't before long where our paths finally crossed.

First profile glance:

[MW] I was left with the choice of swiping left or right on this Navy dude posted up on his ship, attempting to flex his muscles with a cute little grin.

I read more into his profile and under his About Me section it stated "looking for a sugar momma :) just moved back to town. Lets grab some sushi or hit the beach. Hikes, fishing, comedy shows, concerts, taking the pups to the lake or a good relaxing day in the casa. Always down for a good time"

I thought to myself, "a suga momma?! I ain't being nobody's suga momma! buuuuttt he's really cuteeee. Hmmm, maybe I'll swipe right to see if we matched and what this dudes all about."

[NZ] The worst first date! I went on a date with a girl I matched with through online dating after I returned home from Guam finishing my military contract with the Navy. I felt like I was on a hidden camera show with how uncomfortable things progressed. By the end of the date it was not a match to say the least. Once I was home, I felt the need to inform her that while it was a nice night, I did not feel like it was a great fit. Ready to throw in the towel, I gave it one last chance that night before deleting the app. Low and behold the first picture that popped up was.......my now fiancé, The Amazing Marissa!!! At first glance I thought of course she is absolutely gorgeous, but what are the chances that I could possibly match with her, but I gave it a chance and to my surprise we instantly matched! Very eager to give it one last chance, I patiently waited for a response.

WE MATCHED!

First message:

[MW] Because ladies get the opportunity to message the man first, I knew I had to get to the bottom of things real quick. My first message to Nick read "soo, how's that suga momma search been goin for ya?!"

Nick's response: "Terribly. Hahaha the whole sugar momma thing is a joke :) Just looking for someone I can really connect with" mmhmmm SURE!!!

From there I continued to entertain this Navy gold digger dude. We setup our first date over brunch and mimosas and before the date was even over he was asking when can I see you again.

[NZ] A few days later, I was greeted with one of the best messages I have ever received - "How's the sugar momma search coming?" Smiling ear to ear and with a few smooth funny lines later, we had plans for a brunch date the next weekend. And let me tell you, that will be forever the best and last first date I will ever experience. I knew the moment we started talking, that she was the one. We had an amazing meal and were soon to part ways. I was very nervous and was trying to muster up the courage to ask her out on a second date. I walked her to her car, we exchanged our goodbyes, and thought to myself it's now or never and SHE SAID YES. We made plans for our second date and everything after that led us to where we are now............GETTING MARRIED!!!!!!!
