Marjorie and Stephen met in 2015 through mutual friends (although their families have been in the same circles for much longer) and became friends in high school. They each had on-and-off crushes for each other throughout high school, but were never more than friends.

At the end of their junior year, Stephen decided to make a move and sit next to Marjorie in history class. They began talking more frequently, and became close friends—and even went on some one-on-one coffee “friend dates!” By the fall of 2019, enough was enough, and Stephen asked Marjorie out on a date. They made it official on Thanksgiving of that year, and have been inseparable ever since!

They both attended college at Longwood University, where Marjorie studied English and Children’s Literature, and Stephen studied Physics with a concentration in Engineering and Math. Stephen recently finished his degree at the University of Virginia, while Marjorie has been working at the Inn at the Old Silk Mill in Downtown Fredericksburg.

Once married, the two plan to visit Rome, Italy for their honeymoon, and then begin their life as a married couple in Virginia.
