When our daughter was a little girl, We often used to say, how proud and happy we would be on this her wedding day. Our daughter is not lost to us, in fact, we've gained a son. We'd be happy if you could share our joy and see them joined as one.

Our Story

Her Side...

Picture of Her Side...

When I came home from my mission, I would pray over and over again, asking God, “Where can I find my husband?” Each time, I felt the same answer in my heart: “Lynette, right now is not your time.” I didn’t understand it then, but now I know it was because my future husband—my dream husband—was still on his mission.

Fast forward to right before my first date with Mark. My friend Josie and I were jumping up and down, filled with excitement and nerves, asking each other, “What if I’m about to meet my future husband?!” I was so nervous that I asked Josie to pray with me. In her prayer, she asked God to bless Mark, that he would be a good man who would take care of me that night, that we’d enjoy getting to know each other, and that God would watch over us and protect us.

After that first date, I came home, looked at Josie, and said, “It’s him. This is the man I’ve been praying for.”

Mark William Bryant, I love you with all my heart. You are the sweetest, kindest, most gentle, and spiritually strong man I could ever ask for. You’ve been the man of my dreams since I was a little girl. June 26 at the Newport Temple and June 28th in front of our Family can’t come soon enough!

His Side

Picture of His Side

Throughout my life I have thought about what I wanted in a future spouse. I remember wanting to marry someone who had a strong testimony of the gospel, was confident, independent, and had good, righteous goals. I even thought about marrying a convert because I met a lot of amazing converts while I served a mission who had powerful testimonies of Jesus Christ.
Anyway, here’s the story of how I met my beautiful fiancée. It was around the second week of school at BYU. My buddy Chase, who knew Lynette, told me she was interested in being set up with me. Earlier that day, she had seen me in the training room since we’re both athletes.
Later that day, I checked out her social media. I remember watching her interview on BYU Sports Nation and being super impressed! I kept thinking, “Wow! She wants to go out with me?”
I messaged her and asked if she wanted to play pickleball with a group. She said yes, but we actually never ended up playing until like three months later. She had to travel for a game, so we had to cancel. Instead, I invited her to watch a football game at my friend’s house with a group. It was super last minute, because I really wanted to meet Lynette, and it worked out. So that ended up being our first date.
Before the date I was pretty nervous because I was about to take out this beautiful, tall, confident, athletic girl! After that night, I really liked her. From then on, we kept dating and getting to know each other. Over time, we’ve grown and learned a lot together, and our love keeps growing—something I believe will never stop because of Jesus Christ.
When I went to visit Lynette’s family, I remember calling my dad and telling him how I felt about her. I said I could see her being the mother of my kids, and when I imagined our future, it made me feel hopeful and happy. A few months later, on February 15th, I proposed to Lynette. I’ll never forget how I felt when I made that decision.
When I look back on everything, I truly believe God brought Lynette into my life. She was ready for this relationship because she prepared herself—and I’ve been doing the same. I’m so thankful for her, and I’m excited to keep growing with her forever.
