Are there other wedding events happening this weekend?

Yes, there are!! Both of these are totally optional and just meant to give people a space to meet if they are looking for something to do.

FRIDAY, SEPT 20th: Around 8:00 p.m. (after rehearsals), the families and bridal party will be grabbing drinks at Big Lake Brewing in downtown Holland. Join us to kick off the weekend! There will be a cash bar. It will likely be on the patio, so dress accordingly!

SUNDAY, SEPT 22nd: The morning after, at 10 a.m., we will have bagels and coffee under the Gazebo at Kollen Park, weather permitting. Stay as long or short as you'd like, but we will be there until 12 p.m.! This is just west of the wedding venue, and it could be a great time to pick up your valeted cars!

Transportation

Will there be a shuttle from the airport?

There is no consistent transportation running to and from the airport. Ubers are very challenging to order, so do not plan on taking one to Holland from the Airport.

We recommend renting a car, carpooling, or booking a shuttle service ahead of time (i.e. Holland Car Transportation, Lakeshore Express, or Metro Cab).

Will there be a shuttle from the reception to the hotel?

Yes! A shuttle will pick up and drop off between the hotel and reception. Details are below. You do not need to stay at our hotels to get on the shuttles. Please note that there is no transportation to or from the church.

TO RECEPTION: The shuttle will begin at 5:00 p.m. and make three loops. Pick-up begins at the Marriot, stops at Tulyp, and drops off at Boatwerks.

FROM RECEPTION: The shuttle will resume at 10:15 p.m., making three loops and dropping off at both hotels.

Can I leave my car overnight at the venue?

Yes! You can leave your car overnight for free as long as you pick it up the next morning.

WHAT IS THE EXPECTED WEATHER?

The jokes are true. Michigan has unpredictable weather. However, September is usually in the low 60s.

The ceremony will be in an open-air chapel, the cocktail hour will be a mix of indoor/outdoor, and the reception will primarily take place inside, but you will have access to the patio. We recommend bringing a jacket in case it gets cold.
