Our Story
Mark and Silvio’s journey began over 20 years ago in Los Angeles.
Silvio, originally from Germany, was working as a personal trainer when he met Mark, a native Californian and fitness enthusiast. Mark admits to having a quiet crush, but at the time, both were in other relationships, and their connection remained a friendship.
Life took them in different directions, but their connection never faded. Over the years, they continued to cross paths, at events, through mutual friends, and, fittingly, at the gym.
Then, in 2022, fate stepped in.
Mark saw a photo Silvio had posted from a hiking trip and decided to reach out. Silvio responded with an invitation to join him (and his dog) for a walk in the Pacific Palisades. That summer evening, with golden light spilling over the ocean and easy conversation flowing, Silvio drove Mark home, and they shared their first kiss.
From that moment on, something meaningful began to grow.
Later in the year, Mark moved from Los Angeles to Napa/Sonoma Valley in search of a quieter life, closer to family and more meaningful work. The distance could have been a challenge, but they embraced the unknown, navigating long-distance with love, trust, and patience.
Eventually, Silvio moved north as well. He became a postal worker and settled in Sonoma County, where he and Mark began building a life together in the Valley of the Moon. Today, alongside their beloved dog Marley, they share a home full of laughter, and the quiet joy of something built slowly, with care and love.
On December 13th, they’ll be getting married at Capo Creek Ranch in Sonoma County, not because they’re big wine drinkers, but simply because the setting is incredibly beautiful and they hope you think so too.
