Mark and I met in the Spring of 2021 at Webster University. For those of you who don't know the story already, I turned Mark down not once, not twice, but three times. Not my proudest moment. The day after I declined his invitation for the third time, I decided to ask him out on a date. Thankfully, he accepted and later that night (March 31... rough estimate... not like I remember...) we went out. I was so excited and so nervous at the same time. I remember Jaelin and I were trying to pick my outfit for at least 3 hours and it ended up being a cropped hoodie with leggings (BIG shocker). We got in the car and started driving to get ice cream. After driving for about 20 minutes we had both completely forgotten about ice cream and ended up driving around for 5 hours. We talked about everything under the sun and I laughed at (almost) everything he said (I still do). After that night we talked every day, played board games and plenty of cards, traveled to Tennessee, Colorado, Florida, and Washington, went hiking in the Rocky Mountains and The Great Smoky Mountains, found our favorite Chinese restaurant, played lots of pickleball, cooked meals together, ate lots of ice cream, and laughed at the stupidest jokes. We are so excited for a lifetime full of adventures! :)
