Our Wedding

A journey that goes far beyond our own imagination and experiences.. Us meeting was definitely Gods work. He lived over 2k miles away all my life . A unfortunate but now fortunate life changing event brought him here to my path and we ended up working at the same job which was driving taxi cabs at night on third shift . We worked together for about 6 months but we didn’t talk much until one night there was no calls and several of the drivers grouped up and decided to chat. I walked up to him and asked him to play truth or dare because I wanted the tea on him and he picked dare so I said. I dare you to get to know me ! I had rode with mark as a passenger and him the driver on a much needed ride home to my cottage and we talked in the driveway a bit and little did I know a year later he would live there w with me .LOL.  That’s the short of the story  . If you wana know more I’ll gladly tell the story in person !

Cain is a father to three young boys and married to our wedding coordinator Amanda . He is fun and an all around great guy !! Cain is the brides cousin on her mother’s side of the family.

Cousin to the bride , Amanda is in charge of the wedding coordinating, making sure everything goes smoothly and items are all in place and people are in place . Jokingly “she’s air traffick control “ 🤣 . THE CALM IN OUR CRAZY 😝!

Quinn is definitely the reason dynamite 🧨 comes is small package s ! She’s pretty much a second daughter to the bride & groom . When our family counts on her she’s right there . Well loved by the Porters like she was born to us

Danielle is no stranger to the club and bar scenes in her hometown. If you go out on a weekend you’ll find her at the door checking id’s and in the bar helping with its inner workings! Super fun and friendly  ! She will treat you well. ! We actually love her a lot . Her bestie tells me she’s a DJ TOO SOO THIS GONNA BE AN INTERESTING PARTY YALL 💋

Q Is there transportation?  A. There will be a Cadillac Escalade limousine out front for you to be driven home locally in the Redding and Cottonwood area and to local hotels after drinking as you may leave your car at the venue .  Q Can I get picked up if I don’t have a ride or don’t want to leave my car at the venue? A You may get picked up by the car service in Cottonwood and Redding area and get a ride to the venue if you let your host know when you RSVP

Lodging @ Whiskey Town lake 

Whisky town lake is where we are camping after the wedding for several days , fishing included Make sure you reserve your campsite really really early as this is a holiday weekend n spaces may be limited.

Place to crash after reception 

Room rate 125 a night w tax and that was discounted for the holiday weekend and the wedding party ! You just tell them your part of the Porter wedding! This includes a pool and a simple breakfast !

Things to Do

Registry

Tonya was born on November 7th 1974. She has a medical and culinary background and a secondary education in criminal justice for crime scene investigations. Her hobbies are quilting , embroidery and cooking. She was a food service manager for the local school district and had her own school with 200 kids and staff.she also was lead food service manager for our local kids camp for the south side mission where she also earned her culinary training. She loves family life and spending time with friends and likes to go out or spend time in but her favorite thing is camping. She also use to be on one of the local fire department as a firefighter medic .

About the bride 

Mark was born on may 25th 1976 and is a mechanic by trade and has been since high school! He is an all around great guy and that’s said by everyone 🙂. He loves camping and fishing and spend time w family and friends. He graduated from Eureka Senior High School. He moved to Illinois in 2019 . He met his future wife in 2022 @ work. He has a strong sense of family and has two adolescent kids Trevor & Alexandria! Mark has spent a good deal of life on the California wild fire scene and plans to go back w his future wife . He has a fun side that many can see and a wonderful work ethic .

About the Groom 

We are taking the limousine to the local fire works show and having more drinks after the wedding ,with swimming as well . If you’re invited to the after party make sure to bring your swimming suit and a towel . We will have a Cadillac Escalade limousine if you need a ride to your destination with in the local town if you can’t drive .
