He shared with Amanda his desire to join the police academy, and together, they dove into the application process. From rigorous physical tests to grueling mental exams, Mark faced it all with Amanda cheering him on, just as he had done for her.Shortly after Amanda started her program, Mark began his academy training. Embarking on their respective fast-track programs simultaneously, they became each other's pillars of strength, balancing rigorous schedules with quality time together. Mark is taking on the daunting yet rewarding task of starting a new career with Reedley PD, and Amanda is starting her career as an LVN, at Kaweah Health Hospital. As they navigate the business of these milestones, they are also joyfully planning their wedding, ensuring that every decision reflects their shared values. Through every challenge, their faith, trust, and unwavering devotion have strengthened their bond, helping them grow not only as a couple but as individuals. They’re not just building a future—they’re celebrating the life they’ve created together. On November 8, 2025, they will gather with their family and friends to witness the next chapter of their story—a day that will mark the beginning of their forever. As they look ahead, their hearts are filled with gratitude for the journey that brought them here and excitement for everything to come. They know the best is yet to come and are deeply thankful for the love and support of their family and friends, who have stood by them every step of the way.

Kat and Amanda met by fate alone, just before Kat and Mark were set to start the police academy. Kat was named squad leader and Mark the assistant, and one day, right before training began, they FaceTimed to go over academy prep. It started as a simple conversation between Mark and Kat—until Amanda casually chimed in, and before anyone knew what happened, she and Kat were deep in conversation as if they had been best friends for years. Mark probably wondered how his FaceTime call had been hijacked; however, to his credit, he patiently sat through what was supposed to be his call, while Amanda and Kat unknowingly kicked off a friendship that would quickly become inseparable. Their conversations soon became part of their daily routine, ranging from silly, lighthearted banter to deep discussions about life’s meaning. Then, one day, Kat was invited by a friend to a Rotary Club event and decided to bring Amanda as her plus-one. Both were thrilled to finally take a break from their busy schedules and spend time together in person. When the night arrived, there was no awkward transition—for Amanda, it was a calm and familiar feeling, as if she had just found the missing puzzle piece she had been searching for. They laughed, made memories, and created inside jokes that would last a lifetime. That night may have been the beginning, but it was nothing short of a gift from God for both Amanda and Kat. Kat has been a constant source of support for Amanda, showing up in ways she never expected but always needed. Though their friendship is still nascent, Kat has taught Amanda that true connection isn’t measured in time but in the unwavering presence of a kindred spirit—and Kat is just that for Amanda. Whether offering wisdom, encouragement, or simply a listening ear, Kat has been a guiding light through life’s twists and turns, proving that some friendships are simply meant to be. Fittingly, just as Kat once asked Amanda to be her plus-one, Amanda now has the honor of having Kat as her ultimate plus-one—her Maid of Honor on this special day. Mark and Jarrod are cousins turned best friends. When Mark moved back to Fresno from Las Vegas, uncertain about his future, his dad pointed him in Jarrod’s direction—a cousin he wasn't particularly familiar with, but who was in need of some help on the farm. Out of curiosity and hope, Mark reached out, and that single text would mark the beginning of something truly special. At first, they were simply family members who had brushed past each other at parties and events. But on that first day working side by side, something clicked. As they toiled under the sun—sometimes even handling the challenges of applying sulfuric acid to raking hay—Jarrod not only taught Mark the ins and outs of farm work, but also the lessons of life. Their days were filled with hard work, laughter, and those long, meaningful conversations that slowly bridged the gap between cousins and best friends. Weeks turned into months, and before they knew it, their bond had grown into a lifelong friendship. Whether they were sharing jokes, lending an ear during tough times, or embarking on unforgettable adventures like taking the boats out on the river, every moment deepened the connection between them. Jarrod became much more than a coworker or a cousin; he became a mentor, a confidant, and above all, a best friend. As Mark prepares to marry Amanda, he couldn’t be more grateful to have Jarrod standing by his side as his best man.

Amanda and Michelle’s friendship began in high school, where they bonded over their love of forensic science and musicals—an unlikely but perfect combination. From late-night study sessions to belting out show tunes, to spontaneous adventures that turned into cherished memories, their journey has been filled with laughter, unwavering support, and a connection that has only grown stronger over the years. During the COVID years, they were practically inseparable, finding endless ways to pass the time. From spontaneous road trips from Merced to Fresno just for Chick-fil-A to randonauting—an internet-fueled adventure where an app (Randonautica) randomly generates GPS coordinates to explore mysterious locations—they made every day an adventure. Of course, once they got older (and wiser), they realized that blindly following an algorithm to a random spot on the map, in an unfamiliar city, maybe wasn’t the best life choice and wisely retired the tradition. But at the time, it was all part of the thrill. More importantly, it was never about the destination—it was about the laughter, the ridiculous stories, and the comfort of knowing they had each other when the world felt uncertain. Though life has taken them miles apart, their bond has never wavered. No matter how much time passes, whenever they reunite, it feels as if no time has gone by at all—especially when they find themselves at Denny’s, reminiscing just like old times. And, of course, no reunion is complete without a full theatrical performance of Hamilton—every lyric, every role, every dramatic flourish included. But their friendship is more than just music and laughter. They have seen each other through life’s ebbs and flows—the moments of celebration and the seasons of struggle, the dreams that came true and the ones that fell apart. Through every heartbreak, late-night phone call, unexpected turn, and silent moment of understanding, Amanda and Michelle have been each other’s safe space—no matter how many miles stand between them. Amanda is beyond grateful to have Michelle by her side on this special day—a constant reminder that some friendships truly last a lifetime. 💕

As they sat side by side, pushing through the grueling training and the physical and mental tests of becoming a cop, they discovered a strength in one another that neither expected. During long, taxing days when the pressure was almost too much, shared laughter over lunch breaks and debriefs became a lifeline, a way to recharge before facing the next challenge. Their bond, forged in the heat of rigorous training, soon grew far beyond the confines of the academy. Outside the classroom, their friendship evolved into a brotherhood built on countless inside jokes, moments of mutual understanding, and the kind of unspoken support that only comes from knowing someone’s had your back through the toughest times. Tanner’s quick wit and steady presence transformed him into Mark’s go-to guy for humor on days when the weight of the world seemed especially heavy—a real lifesaver in more ways than one. It wasn’t long before Tanner became a part of the family. He started showing up at Mark and Amanda’s place for dinner, where his easy camaraderie and genuine care made him feel like he’d always belonged. Now, as Mark steps into this next big chapter of his life, he’s not just excited—he’s truly grateful to have Tanner by his side. Ready for more inside jokes and shared laughter.

Amanda first met Aryn—Mark’s sister—on their very first Thanksgiving together. Before arriving at the family gathering, Mark’s mom arranged a little pre-meet at a Starbucks, where Amanda would get to know a few key people first. Aryn was one of them. She was warm, funny, and completely herself, and the two instantly hit it off over coffee, chatting about everything and nothing all at once. It didn’t take long before Amanda felt like she wasn’t just meeting her boyfriend’s sister—she was meeting someone who already felt like family.
Later that same day, as Thanksgiving dinner came together, Amanda brought a few dishes to share and found herself side-by-side with Aryn in the kitchen. Together, they shaped salami into roses, helped plate the charcuterie board, and even decorated a turkey cake—because, naturally, no holiday is complete without a little edible artistry. It was there, elbow-deep in cheese cubes and frosting, that something clicked: this wasn’t just a one-day connection. This was the beginning of something truly special.
Over time, Aryn and Amanda created a tradition that became one of Amanda’s most cherished: whenever they spend the night together, they wake up early and make breakfast for the whole family. Not just any breakfast—something new, fun, and made with love. Dala horses are scattered throughout downtown Kingsburg—and your mission is to find as many as you can! Snap a photo of each one you find. The group with the most qualifying photos wins and gets to eat first at the reception (after the wedding party, of course!).
