Dining Recommendations (Given by a coworker)
1. Le Stick Nouveau
a. Extremely expensive, but worth it. Several hours of them serving you a multi course meal. You can pay extra for their wine pairings with each course or order something special from their bar. We learn a lot about food and wine every time we go. (Not a good place if you are a picky eater, because the only course you get to choose is between two options of their main course. Usually a fish vs beef.) The chef and owners’ last name are Cox, but I’m not related.
2. Grotto Wood-fired grill and wine cave
a. Very expensive. They actually have a real spring coming out of the rocks in back of their small quaint restaurant.
b. Best steak and high end food.
3. Ermilios (Italian)
a. Very expensive, but excellent wines and authentic Italian food in a historic house.
4. Rogue’s Manner
a. Very expensive. Their appetizer of the French Onion soup and their fresh bread are great.
b. If you want, you can go to just their bar and not eat. It is very unique, and they serve excellent drinks.
5. Bavarian Restaurant
a. Dinner only, but amazing German food
6. McGarity’s Restaurant & Saloon
a. Irish Restaurant. (Fish & chips. Reuben sandwich. Lot’s of beers on tap.)
7. Local Flavor cafe
a. Price depends. Lunch is reasonable, Dinner is more expensive.
b. Our favorite appetizer is their Baked Brie cheese puff pastry with pears and honey. Yummy.
8. Bubba’s Barbecue
a. Lunch menu is reasonable and good sandwiches
9. Sparky’s Roadhouse Café
a. American food
10. Three Birds Café
a. Great breakfast place
11. Mud Street Café (downstairs) & Mud Street café (Annex-upstairs street level)
