From Denver, take I-70 west toward the awesome Rocky Mountains. After the infamous Eisenhower/Johnson tunnel, take the Silverthorne exit 205. Turn left (east) on Highway 6 for approximately 4 miles to Swan Mountain Road. Turn right on Swan Mountain Road. Proceed 2 miles to Prospector/Windy Point Group Campgrounds / White River National Forest sign. Turn right on dirt road. Take dirt road to campground/group area. Go through the gate to Windy Point and follow wedding signs to parking.

No need to dress formally. We call it "Mountain Casual". Jeans, hiking pants, or casual pants with comfortable shirts/tops are your best bet, with layering for likely wind and temperature fluctuations. Remember, there are only vault toilets available. Be prepared to walk on dirt paths with comfortable walking shoes. Remember, at 9,000 feet above see level, the air can get a little cool, especially in the evening. The average high in this area is about 73 degrees and the lows can get down in the 40's once the sun goes down.

We will have limited seating at the ceremony for guests that need it. If you are local, please bring any light weight camping chairs you can to the ceremony for yourself and our guests that are coming from out of town.

Recommended items to bring are: Umbrellas (locals please bring extras if you can for our out of town guests), comfy shoes, warm jacket for crisp mountain evening air, camping chairs if you are coming locally.

Yes. We will have a light meal and drinks for all.

No. The area does not have running water. They do have "vault" toilets which are permanent outhouse structures. They do a good job to keep these clean and stocked with toilet paper. We will have plenty of hand sanitizer available as well.
