Mark and Rachel met in their freshman year of high school back in 2015 after both being selected to represent the freshman class on the homecoming court. The two started dating their junior year of high school. Since then, they attended their junior and senior proms together, graduated high school in 2019, and moved on to college. Rachel attended Bowie State University and Mark attended Lancaster Bible College. Mark proposed on July 9, 2022 after over 4 years of dating. Rachel played 4 years of volleyball in her college career, and graduated with a Studio Art Degree; while Mark graduated with a double major of Youth & Young Adult Ministry and Biblical Studies, both in 2023. Rachel is now coaching 16U at Maryland Exclusive Volleyball Club and Varsity Girl’s Volleyball at J. H. Blake High School in Montgomery County. Mark is currently working as the Youth Director at Mid Atlantic Community Church. They will be married just after their 6th anniversary on May 24, 2024.
