No, due to the wedding venue being so close to most of the guests and there was not a demand for hotel accommodations, we did not reserve a hotel block for the wedding. We have included some recommended hotels in the travel section of our website for any guests that are still in need of a place to stay. This means there will also be no shuttle transportation service and guests will have to make their own arrangements for travel.
Will the wedding ceremony be at a different location than the reception?
Both the wedding ceremony and reception will be held at the same location, Myth Golf Course & Banquets, as indicated on the home page of the website.
Which style of catering will there be for the reception? Are there accommodations for guests with dietary restrictions?
We will be serving dinner family style for the reception. This means that guests will have all the entrees and sides served to them at the table in large portions that will be shared among everyone at the table. For those with dietary restrictions, I have section on the RSVP cards in the wedding invites that allows guests to provide that information to us, so we can relay that to the wedding venue/caterer. These guests will be served a plated meal, this way there is no risk for contamination.
Is there a dress code for the wedding?
There is no required dress code, but semi-formal attire would be preferred. We are planning on having both the ceremony and reception indoors. If weather permits, we may have the ceremony outside, but it is very unlikely due to the time of the year. We recommend to have something that you would feel comfortable wearing both indoors and outdoors, so have a coat or something warm to wear incase you need it.
What time should guests arrive for the ceremony?
We recommend to arrive between 15-30 minutes before the start time of the ceremony, to account for parking and getting seated. We will be holding a short CockTail Hour which will be from 5:30-6:00pm and the Reception will immediately follow.
Are plus ones allowed for the wedding?
We are allowing plus ones for serious partners/spouses only. We request that you check in with one of us before RSVPing if you are planning on bringing a guest that is not indicated on your wedding invitation.
Are kids allowed at the wedding?
Yes, kids are allowed at the wedding. We do ask that you still check in before RSVPing if you plan on bringing your kids. We will have some small coloring books with crayons placed at your family's/party's seats for your children; however, that is the only child entertainment we are offering for the reception.
Are cellphones permitted during the ceremony?
We request that everyone silence their phones before the ceremony, so there are limited interruptions. Same goes for during the dinner service, this way there is no interruptions for those giving toasts during the reception. We ask that you politely excuse yourself if you have to take an important phone call during these time periods.
