On the campus of Pittsburg State University, MarKayla and Tyrone's love story unfolded against the backdrop of their shared passion for coaching. Fate brought them together in the Fall of 2021 where MarKayla was a member of the PSU Women's Volleyball coaching staff, and Tyrone, with a heart full of dreams, was the assistant for the Men's Basketball team . Little did they know, their shared office space and courtside camaraderie would blossom into a beautiful romance.

As they spent countless evenings side by side, discussing not just the intricacies of their respective sports but also the tapestry of life and shared values, a deep friendship blossomed. They had many evenings filled with dinners, sports entertainment, and heart-to-heart conversations.

MarKayla's infectious energy had a magical way of lifting spirits, and Tyrone found himself captivated by the warmth she brought into his life. It became clear to him that losing her was not an option.

The turning point in their story came on a breezy March day in 2023. With love in his heart and a sparkle in his eye, Tyrone orchestrated a heartfelt proposal for MarKayla during their “photoshoot”. He gathered a select few of her closest family and friends to witness the union of two souls destined to be together. Against the backdrop of their intertwined past and shared present, Tyrone posed the ultimate question, sealing their destiny with the words, "WILL YOU MARRY ME?" In that moment, surrounded by love, friendship, and the echoes of their beating hearts, MarKayla joyfully accepted, and their love story continues to unfold with the promise of a forever filled with shared dreams and never-ending love.
