I met my fiancé Marklin Kwabena "Kobby" McKenzie online in a Facebook travel group in November 2022. I went to Dubai with the travel group in October 2022. I posted pictures from the trip in the Facebook group. Kobby made a comment under the post "Are y'all still in town?" and the rest is history! We began getting to know each other as friends which grew into a deeper connection as we would call, text, audio and video almost daily.

Kwabena is from Accra Ghana. He hails from the Fante tribe. We really bonded over talking about his culture, upbringing and way of life. We learned that our personalities meshed well, and we shared the same beliefs, values, and goals. We met in person for the first time in April 2024. After this trip we grew stronger and made the decision to file for the K1 Fiancé Visa in August 2024 our case was approved December 2024, and he had his interview April 2025.
