Our Wedding

It all began with a simple swipe and a match that was truly heaven-sent. On March 30th, 2022, Armond and Marla crossed paths through Hinge, a dating app designed to be deleted—and their hearts couldn’t agree more. At the time, Armond was 33 and Marla was 30, both having waited what seemed like a lifetime for a love as pure and meaningful as the one they were about to discover. Their first official text on April 4th led to days of heartfelt conversation, full of genuine openness and vulnerability. They quickly found a deep connection through discussions about Jesus, their childhood experiences, and the dreams they held for the future. By April 14th, when they finally met in person (at a new Japanese ramen spot), their bond felt familiar, as though their souls had been friends for ages. Their first date was filled with laughter, sincere moments, and a growing excitement for what God had in store. Just two weeks later, on April 28th, they knew this love was the real thing and officially became a couple. Armond, a proud Rockmart Yellow Jacket from Rockmart, GA, and Marla, a Pierce County Bear and military brat from Patterson, GA, brought different yet perfectly complementary stories to their relationship. As they continued to grow together, each day became a joyful opportunity to draw closer to God and one another. Their relationship has been a beautiful journey of discovering that God’s timing is truly perfect. Every prayer and every moment of waiting was worth it, as they found in each other a partner who shares a relentless faith, a deep love, and a vision to build a marriage that glorifies God. On July 12th, 2024, Armond and Marla took the next step in their love story. Armond planned the perfect proposal: a romantic evening on a rooftop overlooking Downtown Atlanta. Just before sundown, with the city skyline glowing in the distance, he got down on one knee and asked Marla to be his forever. The moment was everything they had dreamed of—filled with love, tears of joy, and the warm embrace of God’s presence. Through every conversation and every shared prayer, they’ve committed to creating a legacy of love rooted in God’s purpose. "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails." — 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 This is the beginning of a new and lifelong chapter, written by the hands of their Heavenly Father. They’re overjoyed to share their story and grateful for every prayer and blessing along the way. As they look forward to the future, they hold on to the belief that the best is yet to come, guided by a love that will continue to honor and glorify God.
