Marla and Vinnie's story is a testament to the enduring power of a friendship that blossomed over two decades. The couple first met in 2000 through Vinnie's older brother, Al, and their connection grew as they became part of a close-knit circle of friends in San Francisco. Over the years, they both pursued their careers in the city—Marla as a realtor and Vinnie as a police officer. Although they were each involved in other relationships, they shared a common history of growing up Catholic in San Francisco and often crossed paths.

Vinnie helped Marla reach her first business milestone, when he asked her to sell his home in Midtown Terrace in 2002, the very first week she was working in real estate and tripled his investment! When Vinnie was working as a motorcycle cop, he once famously pulled Marla over on Mission Street, on the grounds that she “stuck out like a sore thumb,” wearing a pink jacket while driving a white Mercedes.

A few years later, when Vinnie received one of Marla’s monthly newsletters, he found himself emailing her back at 11:30 PM with the leading question: “Are you single?” To which Marla replied at 7:30 AM, “Yes I sure am.” The exchange led to a drink, followed by several lunches, and the rest is history! Marla and Vinnie are excited to be saying their vows at Notre Dame des Victoires, the same church where Vinnie's parents tied the knot. They are especially looking forward to celebrating with Vinnie's two children, along with their friends and family, as they embark on this new chapter.
