Marlee & Peyton's first time meeting was one of those moments you swore had to be a product of divine intervention. They both attended the birthday party of Josh, Taylor & Michael Cox (Marlee's Triplet cousins). It was a 1920's inspired casino night complete with blackjack and roulette tables. Marlee had no idea how to play blackjack, but she caught eyes with Peyton across the room and decided to sit and introduce herself.

Peyton kindly and patiently taught her how to play, asking more and more questions, wondering how in the world he never knew she even existed. The conversations never skipped a beat, the hours turned into minutes, and they stayed glued to each other's side, completely enthralled by each other.

Peyton has been friends with Marlee's cousins and close family friends for more than 20 years. Peyton lived on Advent, Marlee in Westridge neighborhood - both in Argo only a couple streets away.

Marlee would pass by his house every single day she went to school, dreaming of a future on a beautiful piece of property like that, never knowing her future was just inside.

All this time they were so close, but had never met.

Marlee and Peyton's first date was at the Trussville Taco Mama. The conversation flowed so easily that they stayed until close. The chemistry was undeniable and neither wanted the date to end so they went to Ferus Artisan Ales. They shared a couple drinks, laughed, and talked about everything under the sun. Before they knew it, they had stayed until close once again. They regretfully had to say goodbye for the night, but they both knew it was only the beginning.

In May of 2023, Marlee and Peyton took a trip to Panama City, FL with a group of friends. Peyton got down on one knee to ask Marlee to marry him on the very beach that they had first made their relationship official exactly one year previous with the most beautiful sunset.

Coincidentally, it was bike week. They love their Harley Breakout and were definitely missing it. That didn't stop them from hitting up Coyote Ugly to celebrate the engagement of course.
