Love means being more than a car company…that is Subaru’s “Love Promise” slogan. They meant it to be about their cars not about the people that work in their dealerships. Matt and I seemed to misinterpret that one. Oops.

I first met Matt while working at Adventure Subaru, and the more I talked to him the cooler I though he was. We had quite a bit in common, especially our nerdiness. At the time he first started there I was still in another relationship. Eventually, later that year, that relationship ended. Matt and I were friends at this point. He would always join my best friend Rachel and I out on our “girls outings” and he became an honorary member of the “girl squad”. Since we worked together, I hadn’t considered dating him at this point, but as time went on we grew closer and on a summer trip out to Geneva on the Lake we realized we wanted to be more than friends. After hiding our relationship at work (extremely poorly may I add), we finally made it official Aug, 14th 2018. The rest is well…history. We kept growing our relationship in the coming years, bought a house, went on many adventures, and adopted two furry sons!

My favorite adventure was on Nov 10th 2021 when Matt and I went to Newport Beach, CA and he pulled out a beautiful ring on the beach at sunset and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. Pretty sure I didn’t even let him get the words “Will You Marry Me” out before I said YES!

Matt and I can’t wait to celebrate our love with everyone this September!

Met her at the dealership, fell in love and now we are here....

Ok seriously though...I remember my first day working at Adventure Subaru, Saw her at her desk talking with the customers. The moment I realized she closed those hard non-negotiating customers I instantly thought hmm If she can close them I wonder If I can close her on a date. It was a challenge

from that point on. As a salesman by heart I knew this was an obstacle for me to hurdle through the gates to make her like me! My first deviant plan was to become best friends with her best friend, that would be Rachel, and made myself known that I am part of the girl squad. To be honest I'm surprised it WORKED! The more I realize that she guided those customers with professionalism and respect I was like yuppp she can guide me to her

heart. Day by day I started to talk to her more and more and the more I talked with her the more I realized we have a lot in common. I was enjoying myself and the time with her as friends. I knew right away that she truly was the right girl for me.

Ever since she said “I guess” to be my girlfriend on 8/14/2018 I wanted to be in it for the long run. Later down the road, the most frightening day of my life.. The day I proposed.. I DON'T CARE WHO YOU ARE AS A GUY,

EVERY GUY KNOWS HOW NERVOUS IT CAN BE!! But she said “Yes” in Newport Beach, California!

And now… the next will be “I do” on September 9th, 2023. Can't wait to spend the rest of my life with her.
